Families Helping Families… Juzt Because

Nothing like seeing the young working hard to assist the elderly Juzt Because! We thank Tyler and Taylor for coming out on a Saturday to help move furniture for a elderly couple. What a lovely opportunity for Dad to have a teaching moment with the kids! We appreciate all our volunteers young and old. Together we make a difference to positively impacting our community!

There are so many different opportunities for families to work together in helping their local communities, from large projects to the smallest acts of kindness. On top of that, you’ll have invaluable family bonding time together doing good for others. Here are just a couple of ideas to inspire you:

Have a Room Cleanout for Those in Need

Sort through the clothes, toys, and books in your home with your family and find pieces that are in good condition to be donated. Allow everyone to assist in the decision making, size and color sorting, and dropping them off! They’ll feel great being an active participant in the process from start to finish. Plus, you’ll have made more space in your home!

Make a Cup of Healing Love

Plant a small aloe plant in a used tea cup with a note saying "A cup of healing love". The aloe plant can be purchased from any local nursery. It has many healing properties from soothing burns to moisturizing the skin. If you do not have an old tea cup to spare you can find one at your local thrift store and pick a few up. These are great gifts for neighborhood seniors or anyone recovering from an ailment.
